Kietra Winn, DSW is one of the newest therapists to join the practice. She provides services at Shortlidge Elementary as well as the private Newark office.
Dr. Kietra Winn received her doctorate degree in clinical social work from University of Pennsylvania. She has been providing therapeutic services to youth and their families for over 12 years. Dr. Winn has treated youth who have encountered issues with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Anger, Anxiety, Depression, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Conduct Disorder, Substance use and Self-esteem. Her most recent work has been providing services to families and youth who have experienced foster care. Dr. Winn’s work in the foster care arena centered on treating youth from birth to 18 years old with issues of attachment and abandonment. She has also provided consultation to biological parents, counseling and training to foster parents about the grief and loss a child experiences when they are separated from their biological parents.
An ideal client would be youth 14 to 17 years old and young adults 18 to 24 who face issue surrounding Attachment and Abandonment as it relates to foster care, Anger, Aggression (Relational and Physical), Conduct Disorder, Depression, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Self-Esteem, and Social Anxiety.
